  Atom Smash is a sliding puzzle played on the periodic table. Swipe and every atom on the board slides as far as it can go; where two of the same element meet, they smash together and become the next element up. Two hydrogens make a helium, two heliums make a lithium, and on you climb.

  Each run takes one stretch of ten elements, and the card beside the board opens up on whatever you have just built — who first isolated it, when, and what it turned out to be good for. Pick a smaller board if you want it harder. Plays with a swipe on a phone or the arrow keys on a desktop.
